PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina (ICA), together with the West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit (UBPB) of PT ANTAM Tbk, hosted the 2023 5th ANTAM Emergency Response Program (AERP) held in Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The event served as a confined space rescue practice conducted at the PT ICA plant site.

The confined space rescue practice at PT ICA serves as tangible evidence of the company's commitment to maintaining safety and improving disaster preparedness. In this practice, the PT ICA ERG team was trained to handle emergency situations in limited areas, ensuring their readiness to respond to and manage disasters promptly and effectively.

The 5th AERP event was attended by 9 participants, including the West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit (UBPB), PT ICA, Kolaka Nickel Mining Business Unit (UBPN), North Konawe Nickel Mining Business Unit (UBPN), Pongkor Gold Mining Business Unit (UBPE), Logam Mulia Processing and Refining Business Unit (UBPP), Geomin Unit, North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit (UBPN), and PT GAG Nickel. Throughout the 6-day event, PT ICA received several awards, including the Best Participant with the highest overall score and the Best Unit, contributing 2 members among the 8 selected personnel in the 5th year 2023 AERP.
